Workplace Role Models

OCI Supervisors are role models that AICs can learn from through observation. As a part of our soft skills program, our OCI staff have been offered Management Mentoring. This training provides scope in effectively dealing with self-defeating behavioral patterns common among incarcerated individuals and provides strategies to help counteract them. OCI offers a positive environment for men and women to learn and apply soft skills by demonstrating appropriate conduct and encouraging positive relations in the workplace. OCI staff interacts with a large number of AICs, teaching them at locations throughout the state, and instilling in them the confidence for success on the job in their day to day lives.
